Kurt Beecher Dammeier has been a fan of artisan cheese for as long as he can remember ... So it's not surprising that late last year, Dammeier, an entrepreneur, opened Beecher's Handmade Cheese in Seattle's Pike Place Market. "I love cheese, and I felt that Seattle, as a prominent artisan product town, really needed and could support its own cheese."
