February. Ahem. Valentine's Day notwithstanding, February isn't the easiest month to love. Seriously. V-day is to love what St. Patrick's Day is to beer and being Irish, or the Fourth of July is to Independence — an extravaganza of amateurs. Instead of actually doing love, we pick one day to go through the motions, expressing our devotion in the form of forced retail and a night out with everyone else in town. Now, that's special.
