Alaskan, troll-caught Coho

salmon

Want the health benefits of salmon but with a milder flavor? Our wild Coho delivers both. Pan fried, grilled or baked, it mingles easily with a variety of seasonings. In addition to fillets and steaks, we also offer Coho that's seasoned and ready-to-cook through our Natural Express line. Try it in an herb pepper or kalbi marinade, or a Tom Douglas seafood rub.

Our wild Alaskan Coho at PCC is troll caught, a sustainable method endorsed by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program. Unlike more invasive fishing methods, trolling — or catching fish by hook and line — does not touch, scrape or otherwise disturb the seabed, meaning a smaller by-catch of fellow sea life. After all, a light footprint in nature helps keep this delicious salmon plentiful.

Coho: A nutrient-rich treasure

Coho, or silver, salmon is low in calories and saturated fat yet high in protein and omega-3 essential fatty acids, which contribute to healthy heart and brain function.

Salmon also is an excellent source of selenium, protein, niacin and vitamin B12, as well as phosphorus, magnesium and vitamin B6.
