Lovely lemons
With sweeter juice, a thinner peel and less acid, Meyer lemons are a great way to add a little punch to your cooking. Thought to be a cross between a true lemon and a mandarin orange, these lemons have an aromatic outer peel that's ideal for zesting. You'll only find organic Meyers at PCC, which is key when zesting because pesticide residues are found mainly on the peels. Their floral flavor pairs nicely with fish, making a perfect basting sauce, and they help bring out the flavor in many other foods.
Meyer lemons also contain phytonutrient properties and they're an excellent source of vitamin C. Pick up a few of these yellow beauties to put a refreshing (and healthy) spin on your favorite dishes and desserts.
From great relationships, great quality
PCC maintains close relationships with local and regional farmers to provide the best-tasting, freshest produce possible. More than 93 percent of produce sold by PCC is certified organic fruits and vegetables, grown without artificial pesticides or fertilizers. When organic varieties are not available or out of season, we offer high quality, non-organic produce. Learn more about the benefits of organics »
