Bulk Organic Organic Pearled Barley
Pearled barley has been processed to remove the tough inedible outer hull and then "pearled" or polished.
Preparation: Rinse, drain, and cover 1/2 cup barley with 1 1/2 cups liquid and pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and cook covered for 40-60 minutes.
Yield: about 1 cup cooked per 1/4 cup uncooked barley.
