Bluebird Grain Organic Whole Grain Emmer Farro

Grown in the Upper Methow Valley of Washington state. Some people sensitive to wheat can tolerate emmer, which shares a common ancestor with wheat.

Preparation: Bring 1 cup berries, 5 cups water and a pinch of salt to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 50-60 minutes.

Yield: about 1/2 cup per 1/4 cup uncooked berries.
