Welcome to PCC Green ... an introduction to PCC Natural Markets' initiatives, challenges and accomplishments as a source of healthful products, an employer of choice and a responsible community member.
PCC Green is a way to describe PCC's triple bottom line approach to doing business in which commitment to — and balance of — our co-op's economic, social and environmental responsibilties are top priorities. PCC Green is also an ongoing goal to operate as sustainably as possible. It encompasses all of the people, products and places that support and benefit from our business.
PCC's sustainable efforts originate with our policies. Co-op wide procedures and practices ensure that the human and natural resources essential to our business are protected and respected. Monitoring and evaluating specific performance indicators help us stay on target and make adjustments as we move forward.
PCC Green is also an invitation. We welcome ideas and suggestions as to what our co-op, as a natural foods store and community of mindful people, can and should pursue as we endeavor to lead and live more sustainably.
