Brendan Johnson, PCC Cooks instructor

Brendan Johnson graduated with a history degree from the University of Oregon in 1988, then spent a year in France working in the vineyards of the Cognac region. After several years of teaching high school history, French and social studies, he moved to New Zealand with his wife, Julie, to pursue his passion for viticulture. He worked in the vineyards and olive groves of Canterbury, South Island and earned a certificate from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. Brendan is the assistant store director at PCC Issaquah, is an avid home brewer, and dreams of having his own vineyard.
