Jerry’s inspiration for his restaurant, Poppy, on Capitol Hill, comes from the Thali, a platter served to each guest holding a variety of small dishes. His tasting menu borrows the idea of the Thali to present Jerry’s own style of Northwest cooking, highlighting seasonal ingredients, fresh herbs, and spices. You’ll sample Poppy Chickpea Salad; Masala Beet Soup; Roasted Eggplant with Tahini and Lemon; Basil Spoonbread; Winter Squash with Chanterelles and Apricots; and Roasted Figs with Riesling Sabayon and Walnut Praline. Vegetarian, with dairy and eggs.
