Traditional Christmas Pudding and other British Treats
Vegetarian

Catherine Donaldson

Although she hails from Australia, Catherine’s family always celebrated the traditions of a British Christmas. You’ll learn about the history and lore of the Victorian Christmas and how homesick immigrants adapted it to new locations, as she demonstrates how to make steamed Christmas Pudding with nuts and fresh and dried fruit, plus homemade candied citrus peel, with Crème Anglais, Chantilly Cream and Hard Sauce. She’ll also prepare delectable Fruit Mince Pies and an Aussie version of butter shortbread — “Beach Shorts” shortbread — with crystallized ginger and macadamia nuts. You’ll have a rollicking good time while celebrating the holidays British-style! Vegetarian, with dairy and eggs.
