Winter Break Cooking Camp

Iole Aguero, Lee Baker, Lisa Palmatier

For ages 8 to 11. In this fun-filled winter camp tailored to your school district schedule, kids will cook a different meal each day while learning kitchen skills and safe cooking techniques. They will cook two or three of these meals: for an All-American breakfast, kids will make Smoothies and Bagels from scratch, plus cream cheese spreads, then make Scrambled Eggs and Citrus Fruit Cups. Italian food is a kid favorite, and making Pizza is more fun than going out; with a Chopped Salad and Lemon Pudding, it is a delicious and balanced lunch. Everyone loves Mexican food, too, and for dinner, we’ll make homemade Corn Tortillas for Tacos or Tostadas, with meat or bean fillings and topped with Salsa and Guacamole. Dessert is Tropical Fruit Tartlets. Vegetarian, with meat and poultry options, dairy and eggs.
