Healthy Kids Cook

ParentMap and PCC have partnered to produce a web series called Healthy Kids Cook, designed to encourage families to make a healthy habit of cooking fresh food together. Each month, PCC Chef Jackie Freeman hosts families in the PCC kitchen to create an easy, kid-friendly recipe featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Cranberries
  • Bounce those berries! PCC Chef Jackie Freeman makes healthy sweet-tart Cranberry-Lemon Muffins with her young helpers (and dedicated Seahawks fans) Gage and Dani, and their mom Diana. The kids do a great job stirring, even kicking it up into Beast Mode.

Apple Pie Morning Oatmeal
  • A healthy breakfast that tastes just like apple pie? Sounds perfect for fall. PCC Chef Jackie Freeman works with Ryleigh and Maya to cook steel-cut oats and caramelize apples — it’s amazing just how much the kids can accomplish in the kitchen, right down to their big jazz hands finish!
