Smoky Apple Compote
Serves: 4
This recipe is:

Wheat-free
Serve over grilled pork loin chops, grilled pork tenderloin or grilled chicken.
Ingredients
- 2 organic Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped Add to list
- 1 tablespoon honey Add to list
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup Add to list
- 1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder Add to list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon Add to list
- 1 cup apple cider Add to list
Preparation
Place all the ingredients in a small pot. Let the mixture reach a slow boil and then turn the heat to a simmer. Reduce the mixture by half or until the consistency has thickened a bit. The apples should still be a bit formed and not too mushy.
Each serving: 90 cal, 0g fat (0g sat), 0mg chol, 10mg sodium, 24g carb, 1g fiber, 0g protein
