Quinoa Breakfast Porridge

A twist on the traditional oatmeal breakfast, this will keep you full for hours.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water Add to list
- 1 cup quinoa, rinsed Add to list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon Add to list
- 1/2 cup whole dried apricots Add to list
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds Add to list
Preparation
Bring the water to a boil, and add the quinoa. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
Add the cinnamon and apricots, and simmer until water is absorbed. Add the almonds.
Serve with milk, soy milk or cream, and sweeten to taste with honey or brown sugar.
