Kuey Buod Chee means banana in a nun's hood. This recipe is easy to make and it can be served warm or cold. Any leftovers make great milkshakes.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas Add to list
- 1/2 to 1 cup coconut milk Add to list
- 1 1/2 cups water Add to list
- 1/2 cup sugar Add to list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt Add to list
- Cinnamon powder (optional) Add to list
Preparation
Peel bananas and cut them in half. In a saucepan, bring to a boil 1/4 cup coconut milk and water. Add sugar and salt, and cook until they are dissolved. Add bananas and let boil for 1 minute.
Add the rest of the coconut milk. Serve bananas with plenty of the coconut liquid so that they partially float. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve with vanilla or coconut ice cream if you like.
