Hot Millet and Buckwheat Cereal
Serves: 2 to 4

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup whole millet, rinsed thoroughly Add to list
- 1/4 cup whole buckwheat Add to list
- 1 cup coconut milk or nut milk Add to list
- 1 cup filtered water Add to list
- Pinch of unrefined salt Add to list
- Spices, nuts or dried fruits (see note for topping ideas) Add to list
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a small pot and soak overnight in the refrigerator.
To cook the cereal, place it on the stovetop, covered, on low heat. Let it simmer slowly for about 20 minutes (up to 1 hour for the rice cereal), stirring occasionally. Add extra water if the cereal is too thick and enjoy warm.
