Caramelized Pear Sauce
Yield: About 4 cups
Serve this sauce with Spiced Cake.
In a saucepan combine rice syrup, maple syrup and butter. Cook over medium-high heat until the mixture browns. Add the pears and cook for about 10 minutes or until the pears have browned. Remove from heat and incorporate lemon juice.
Serve at room temperature with Spiced Cake.
