Biscuit topping for cobblers
This recipe is:
Vegetarian
Corn-free
Egg-free
Peanut-free
Soy-free
This recipe accompanies Crisps, Cobblers and Pandowdies — old-fashioned summertime fruit desserts.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unbleached flour Add to list
- 1/2 cup nonfat milk Add to list
- 1/3 cup rolled oats (do not use quick-cooking oats) Add to list
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar Add to list
- 1/4 cup butter, softened or coconut oil, melted Add to list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder Add to list
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a bowl and work mixture through with a fork until well combined. Sprinkle drop biscuit topping evenly over the fruit base.
