Basic French Vinaigrette
Yield: Makes about 1/2 cup

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons white-wine vinegar or fresh lemon juice Add to list
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard Add to list
- 1/3 cup olive oil Add to list
- Salt and pepper to taste Add to list
Preparation
In a bowl, whisk together the vinegar, mustard, and salt and pepper to taste, add the oil in a stream, whisking vinaigrette until it is emulsified.
