If you feel the need to gild the lily, enjoy these flavorful berries atop sliced lemon cake with a dollop of mascarpone, or with your favorite vanilla-flavored frozen dessert.
Toss all ingredients in medium bowl and mash lightly to bring out the juices. Let stand at room temperature for about 2 hours, until juices are plentiful and the berries have absorbed some of the vinegar. Serve at room temperature.
* 1/4 cup sugar can be used in place of agave; it will slowly dissolve as the berries sit at room temperature.
