This is a fun gift idea. Include a bottle of good maple syrup or honey to complete the gift.

Preparation

In a large bowl, whisk together the first six ingredients. Pour the mix into a jar or other pretty, air-tight container.

Include these instructions with gift:
For pancakes, whisk together 2 cups of dry mix with 1 whole egg, 1 tablespoon oil and 1 3/4 cups milk (or milk alternative). Preheat griddle to medium while you let the batter sit at room temperature for 5 minutes. Thin with a little more milk, if desired. Pour 1/4 cup batter on the hot griddle. Turn when bubbles appear and pop.
