Does meat production cause climate change?

Food production is a major contributor to climate change, and meat raised in crowded, polluted CAFOs certainly is one of the biggest problems. But it's overly simplistic to say that all meat production emits harmful greenhouse gases. In fact, studies show that cattle, goats and turkeys raised the traditional way (on grass) may actually help mitigate global warming.
