PCC Advocates

Dear Advocate,

The nation's first initiative to label genetically engineered foods is in a very tight race, down to the wire just one week before California voters vote next Tuesday, November 6.

A poll by the Los Angeles Times and the University of Southern California last Saturday found 44 percent of California voters support Prop 37. That's a 17 percent decline since September. The initiative still leads by two percentage points, with 13 percent of those polled still undecided.

The pro-Prop 37 campaign began airing its first television commercial last Friday to try to win back swing voters but it has just $6 million to spend, while anti-Prop 37 contributions total more than $41 million, with Monsanto, DuPont and PepsiCo among the biggest donors.

Please volunteer for a phone bank sponsored by Organic Consumers Association to reach California voters. It won't cost you a dime in phone charges.

You can get quick and easy online training and sign up for one or more shifts here.

Or, please make a donation today.

Thank you,
PCC Public Affairs
