It's time for us, as organic consumers, to ramp up the opposition to genetically engineered (GE) foods!

The Center for Food Safety (CFS) is back in court, appealing the USDA's approval of Monsanto's GE alfalfa and sugar beets. The government reportedly is close to approving GE salmon, too.

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO TAKE ACTION:

1) Monsanto is suing CFS in an attempt to drain its legal funds, so it's critical that we support CFS's legal battle against the biotech giant.

If each PCC member gave just $10, it would raise nearly half a million dollars for the litigation.

2) President Obama is the only person who can call for a moratorium on GE crops and animals, and override government agency decisions to approve GE crops and animals.

Tell the president his administration has failed to keep a campaign promise to order mandatory labels on GE foods. Tell him that his administration is disrespecting the will of the American people.

We've been told that the White House has taken notice of the volume of phone calls and e-mails, so lets keep 'em coming!

Our actions can make the difference. We beat back rBGH in dairy. We stopped GE tomatoes, GE potatoes, GE wheat, and GE rice. We can do it again.
