There are just two weeks left in PCC's special signature gathering effort in support of I-522!

We have had a terrific response to our previous request for in-store volunteers willing to help gather signatures in support of Initiative 522 to Label GMOs — but we need more help! Our goal is 50,000 signatures by Nov. 1 and, as of Oct. 15, we have just over 20,000.

The only requirement for volunteering is being passionate about our right to know what foods are genetically engineered and contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs). We'll give you helpful hints and instructions for making the most of your time volunteering.

What you can do to help ...

• Email your PCC store preference and days/times you're available — between now and October 31 — to: GMOvolunteers@pccsea.com. Volunteer one hour or for as long as you wish. We will send you a confirmation email with details and we will be pleased to offer you a PCC gift card in appreciation for your contribution to this important effort.

• Pick up a petition at any PCC location, asks friends, neighbors and co-workers to sign it, and return it to a PCC store by Oct. 31.

• If you can't help with this effort, forward this message to someone you think would be interested.
