PCC Healthy Kids: For parents
Help your child power up with good nutrition
We all want our kids to be healthy and strong, but we don't always have all the answers. PCC and its partners hope to fill these gaps of knowledge with classes, events and other resources to help local children maximize their wellness through a lifetime of good eating.
We're here to help!
PCC and our team of local organizations and institutions have created dozens of ways to boost the region's appetite for good nutrition, including:
- A new "Ask the Family Nutritionist" feature added to our PCC Healthy Kids Facebook page. "Ask the Family Nutritionist" is a regular Q&A that enables parents to request answers to questions and concerns about the nutritional health of their children. Find an archive of questions and answers here.
- More than 1,700 kid-tasted and approved products flagged in PCC stores with an orange Kid Picks shelf label, making it easier for parents to find healthier choices their children will like.
- An expanded Kid Picks section, including a database of kid-friendly products with the ability to create shopping lists, more family-friendly recipes.
- Fun projects to do with kids, including crafts that call for ingredients you most likely already have in your fridge or pantry.
