Olowo-n’djo Tchala, founder of the skin-care company Alaffia, explains how a comprehensive fair trade approach preserves traditional resources and cultural knowledge. Tchala won Washington’s 2013 Jefferson Award in recognition of his mission to advance gender equality and alleviate poverty. $5 at the door; FREE for Burke members and UW students, staff, and faculty with UW ID.
