Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Sweater Drive
  • January 11 to February 7

Carry on Fred Rogers’ giving spirit and help those in need by donating new or gently used, clean sweaters, coats and cold weather gear. Collection bins will be located at all PCC store locations and KCTS 9. Donations will be distributed to Wellspring Family Services, serving Seattle and King County.

    While the best things in life aren’t always free, these can be bought quite painlessly.

Cost is $5 per person, paid at the door. Your tasting fee includes 1-ounce pours of each wine offered. Just in time for Valentine’s Day — or for any occasion — come taste a range of chocolates. Whether you prefer milk or dark, fruity or nutty, bitter or sweet, you’ll be sure to discover flavors that will give you a newfound appreciation for this decadent but healthy treat.

Home energy classes

Learn how to lower your home energy bills. PCC member and residential energy use expert, Brad Tiehen, offers free classes at five PCC locations. He’ll explain where energy is wasted in homes, how to troubleshoot sources of loss, the cost (and savings) of doing home energy saving projects, and utility and government rebate programs that can help pay for them. Volunteers from the Chicken Soup Brigade will be on site collecting donations of nonperishable, shelf-stable food items at all nine of our stores. As part of Lifelong AIDS Alliance, the Chicken Soup Brigade works to improve the nutritional status of people living with HIV/AIDS and other life-challenging illnesses in Seattle and King County by feeding hundreds each week with bags of groceries, fresh meals and delicious soup.
