Hurricane Katrina relief efforts
September 15, 2005 — PCC Natural Markets donated amounts of $15,000 and $5,000 to Volunteers of America Western Washington (VOA/WW) and to Farm Aid, respectively, to support the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts of those organizations. For more information, please see our news release.
September 22, 2005 — PCC also donated $5,000 to the "Katrina Cooperative Recovery Fund," established by the Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF) in support of the organization’s efforts to aid survivors of Hurricane Katrina. For more information, please see our news release.
In addition, here's what you can do to support hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
- Donate directly to the American Red Cross.
- Help sustain our local blood supply so we can respond to the need. Sign up to donate blood by calling the Puget Sound Blood Center at 1-800-398-7880.
- Help stock our neighborhood food banks by donating food in the event that Katrina evacuees will need their support.
