Model Families Mentorship Program — Daniel Roscoe Corporate Award for Community Service

PCC was honored with this award for its support of the 10th Annual Seattle Family Kite Festival which aims to challenge, nurture and inspire Northwest families toward greater health and wellness. Model Families is a leading provider of opportunities regarding health and wellness, as well as greater access to the arts, for low income families.

King County (WA) Solid Waste Division — 2012 Best Workplace for Waste Prevention and Recycling

PCC has been a “Best Workplace for Waste Prevention and Recycling,” since the program began in 2007 and, for the second year, was given special “Honor Roll” status. Ninety-two King County organizations made the 2012 list, only 10 of which are retailers.

ParentMap — Golden Teddy — Best Grocery Store for Families

PCC was selected as the best grocery store for families in the Seattle area, by the readers of ParentMap magazine. "Every kid can grab and wash a fresh piece of fruit, no charge, to munch on while cruising the aisles with their mini shopping cart. The bright orange Kid Picks labels seen throughout the stores help shoppers find the most kid-approved items — taste-tested by a panel of real-life kids."

Seattle Magazine — Top 10 — Seattle’s Food Establishment

PCC was listed as number ten among seventy companies, institutions and people who have made a significant cultural impact on the greater Seattle food scene. A team of food writers selected PCC for “pulling for farmers, providing a source of local and organic foods, and generally leading the green movement in Seattle for more than 50 years.”
